- F.A.Q: WaveWarp Detailed Usage
- Questions relating to the detailed usage of WaveWarp
-
- 6. I want to use microtonal tuning with a MIDI keyboard, with the keyboard supplying a note event and my software looking up the appropriate frequency. Can WaveWarp implement precise frequency inputs as note events? Can it play several notes at once (9? more?) Will I need the MATLAB capabilities to get a full pipe organ sound (for example)? - Top
- WaveWarp does not (yet) support MIDI inputs. However, in principle, WaveWarp's frequency-controlled oscillators can be programmed to play any note, and you can use as many of these as you wish (in parallel) to create a multivoice signal (e.g. pipe organ). You cannot yet trigger these oscillators externally.
You do not need the MATLAB-enabled version to make use of these oscillators. - Updated: August 2, 2001
