- 4. How can I correct "jumpy" playback ? - Top
- If the playback sounds "jumpy", this may be corrected by the following actions: (1) try increasing the size and number of soundcard buffers (see the Users' Guide for more information). (2) if you are working with live audio inputs, reduce the complexity of your DrawingBoard to alleviate the burden on the CPU. Note: if you are working only with WAV files or DirectX plugins, and not with live inputs, "jumpy" playback will have no adverse consequence on recorded data. Hence you may create a perfect recording (even though the PC is too slow to process the material in real-time).
