- No. WaveWarp 2.0 does not require DirectSound to operate. All soundcard I/O access is performed via the standard Windows Wave (MME) drivers. A planned future upgrade will make use of DirectSound to take advantage of the improved I/O performance from the DirectSound I/O drivers. - Updated: March 7, 2001
